Wooden Spoon People

On a recent trip out with my sister in which we had a good mooch about Ikea, TK Max and then Hobbycraft, I was keeping a look out for some wooden spoons. I need them for a Christmas secret….

Well, I found these wooden people in Hobbycraft which I think will suit my purpose.dscf2158

I have decorated them with drawing pens and felt pens…some still need finishing touches but here they are so far…

Family members may feel these figures look rather familiar or not!

Due to family circumstances we celebrated a family ‘ fake’ Christmas get together last Sunday 11 December.
My table gifts this year were based around tea, I gave mini tea-pig boxes and a hand-drawn tea-cloth.
Hence, in my mind anyway the need for a spoon… don’t suppose anyone will be using these but nevermind.
My gifts were presented in a brown paper bag and I had included a set of lights which were switched on, so everyone’s bag glowed!

Silly little gift really but we like to find things to give to each other that are a little quirky (well I do).
My sister and mother notice bargains through the year but I always leave it till the last moment.
My nieces both joined in with one presenting us all with a cocktail in a bauble shape and the other lovely gloves to keep us snug.  I love this tradition we’ve got going.

Back soon,
